GdS: Tonali begins to light up on the pitch – Milan have a precise plan for him

By Isak Möller -

Sandro Tonali is very talented, that’s for sure. Milan signed him for precisely this, closing the deal quickly to beat any competition. When it comes to the performances on the pitch, though, they don’t want to rush things.

According to Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews), Milan have a precise growth path in mind. The midfielder has been named as one of the most interesting players in his role despite being just 20-years-old and having played just one season in Serie A.

A period of adapting to new surroundings, therefore, is perfectly normal. Tonali has plenty of time to show his talent and he’s starting to do so: the pass to Ante Rebic against Lille was stunning, the first time we have seen that from him at Milan.

Slowly, but steadily, the former Brescia man is starting to get used to the mechanism of Stefano Pioli and his Milan. Everyone around him preaches patience and as mentioned, the player will show his best sides soon.

After playing for Brescia in a three-man midfield, he’s working hard to adapt to the two-man midfield. And he’s making progress, day after day, game after game.
