GdS: Two clubs interested as Milan set asking price for Calhanoglu

By Oliver Fisher -

Hakan Calhanoglu is once again attracting interest from the Bundesliga as Milan have named their asking price, a report claims.

The Turkey international put on a solid display in Cardiff on Saturday as the Rossoneri rounded of their International Champions Cup campaign with a penalty shootout defeat to Manchester United.

Despite this, speculation surrounding Calhanoglu’s future refuses to go away, and Sunday’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport states that a move to Germany could be back on the cards.

Their report claims that Milan have set their asking price at €18-20m for the former Leverkusen star, with RB Leipzig and Galatasaray named as potential suitors.

There is apparently an ‘increasing chance’ that the 25-year-old could be sold in order to raise funds for Marco Giampaolo to continue his squad overhaul.

The arrivals of Ismael Bennacer and Rade Krunic from Empoli mean that Milan have a crowded midfield at present, and Milan are ready to listen to offers that come in for Calhanoglu as a result.
