Zlatan Ibrahimovic is expected to leave AC Milan at the end of the season and that means that Sunday’s clash against Hellas Verona will be his last one. However, no farewell has been planned as of yet due to the uncertainty.
Ibrahimovic is currently recovering from an injury and thus won’t be able to take part in the game on Sunday. However, he will certainly be at San Siro and could receive a farewell from the fans after the final whistle.
As reported by Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews), though, no farewell has been planned due to the uncertainty of Ibrahimovic’s future. Speaking to the newspaper – which you can read in full here – the striker more or less made it clear that he wants to stay.
In the end, the final word will be made by Ibrahimovic but it’s also clear that there isn’t much time left between now and the game. It’s possible, therefore, that Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara haven’t made a definitive decision on the future of the Swede yet.
So obvious we need to give him a new contract.. when he says he wants to continue and at Milan.. let him retire as a Milan player next season. whats the wait with the new deal? I always thought next year could be his final
