GdS: What Cardinale told the Milan squad and staff during dressing room visit

Gerry Cardinale was present at San Siro for last night’s game between AC Milan and Roma, and he got to saw a win after speaking to the team before the match.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (as seen below), Cardinale spoke to the squad before the start of the match. He went down to the dressing room, because the owner wanted to meet Stefano Pioli, the staff and the team.

It was an encounter that only lasted a few minutes but featured a motivational speech in which he reiterated his full support and closeness to the players and the head coach, despite the fact he often cannot be physically there.

Generally the American watches games from New York but to the assembled group he explained that he is constantly updated and personally involved in all the club’s activities.

Then, he reiterated the ownership’s commitment and constant availability to support the club, to guarantee its development and success.

Meanwhile, on the field the Rossoneri beat Roma because they immediately showed a different spirit from the Coppa Italia defeat against Atalanta in midweek. Cardinale, of course, watched from the stands with Ibra next to him.

In the official photos you can see the likes of Kevin Zeroli, Chaka Traoré and Ruben Loftus-Cheek attentive, and then a high-five with the captain Davide Calabria.

There are some who have speculated that Cardinale’s presence could bring big changes, especially with Pioli under pressure, but he made it clear he will make verdicts to the end of the season during his Christmas greeting message.
