GdS: When Donnarumma’s future will be known – €8m+ offer tabled by Milan

By Isak Möller -

Gigio Donnarumma is one of the best goalkeepers in the world and at the age of just 22, he still has room for improvement. Therefore, Milan are working hard to renew his contract, but it has turned out to be very difficult.

Today’s edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport, as cited by MilanNews, took stock of the situation amid the complicated negotiations. It will all be solved before June as Donnarumma doesn’t want to have any distractions during the Euros.

Milan have put €8m plus bonuses per year on the table, which is an increase of €2m compared to the current contract. Considering that the Rossoneri have a wage cap at €4m, it’s indeed a significant effort from the club.

There haven’t been any official meetings lately but the contacts continue over the phone between the parties. Patience is need on Milan’s end but at the same time, the deadline is approaching and they are right to hurry things up.
