GdS: Probable XIs for Verona vs. Milan – two interesting changes by Pioli

By Isak Möller -

Stefano Pioli has more or less decided the starting XI that will face Hellas Verona away from home this evening, with a couple of changes expected. For Milan, of course, it’s an extremely important game in the Scudetto race.

The Rossoneri came away with all three points against Fiorentina thanks to a late goal by Rafael Leao. Taking the chances they had into account, it’s clear that they should have scored a few more goals.

According to Gazzetta Dello Sport (see photo below), Pioli will make two changes to the XI and they are both in the attacking trio. Alexis Saelemaekers will replace Junior Messias, who was underwhelming last time out, and Rade Krunic will replace Brahim Diaz.

The latter has struggled to be a source of creativity for Milan and it’s not exactly a surprise that Pioli has opted for Krunic instead this time out. The Bosnian provides more physical guarantees and he’s also very calm on the ball.

  1. Not Saladmaker! He better have a good game. Messias might of been underwhelming last match but since when did Pioli bench someone because they underwhelmed (Kessie, Kebab)?
