GdS: Yacine Adli is a ‘jolly’ for Milan as they have three positions in mind

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan managed to secure the services of Yacine Adli this summer but agreed to send him back to Bordeaux on a season-long loan. This means that he will be at Stefano Pioli’s disposal for the 2022/23 season.

The Rossoneri reached an agreement with the French side at €8m, given that they were willing to send him back on loan. As highlighted by Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews), Adli will be a wildcard for the club, or a jolly as they call it.

Simply put, the youngster can play in many positions: in the midfield tandem, as a right-winger or in the No.10 role. He will be very useful for Pioli, that’s for sure, and it remains to be seen what will be his main position.

Either way, Milan managed to get a good deal and the loan solution seems to have worked out well, given that the Rossoneri signed Tiemoue Bakayoko. Playing time this season for Adli, therefore, could have been sparse.

  1. Long term solution for CAM imo. Brahim is a ticking time bomb. as soon as he goes off and explodes Madrid are gonna call him back. He also wants to succeed there. So I don’t think he will be with us for long. Maximum 3 more seasons if he explodes. So if we sign Kamara on a free next szn. We might as well get Adli to accustomed to CAM,

Lad’s got a bit of Zidane to him.

    1. You just lifted all I had to say in your comment. I’m also hoping we get Kamara on a free and start negotiation come January.

Kessie is a beast but I’m not so pained from the thought of losing him aside that it’ll be painful if it’s for free.

Is quite a capable midfield for me especially if Tonali has a good year this year
