German report claims Leverkusen and Chelsea have joined race for Milan-linked Brazilian starlet

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are battling a number of clubs for the signing of Santos forward Kaio Jorge, if the last reports from Germany are to be believed.

La Gazzetta dello Sport’s Nicolo Schira recently claimed that Milan are firmly in the race to sign Jorge, having offered the 18-year-old the chance to immediately be a starter, though it has also been reported that Barcelona are the favourites to land the teenager in a €60m deal.

Alessandro Jacobone claim on Twitter on Monday that Milan are in talks with agent Giuliano Bertolucci over two of his clients, one being Ajax winger David Neres and the other being Jorge.

According to the latest from German outlet Kicker, Bayer Leverksuen are the latest club to begin pressing for the teenager.  Juventus were considered the team in pole position before the Coronavirus break, but now the market situation has changed and Bayer sees an opportunity, as do Chelsea.
