The story that emerged from the World Cup involving Olivier Giroud and Australia striker Jason Cummings has finally had a happy ending.
France and Australia faced in the groups at the 2022 World Cup in Group D with Les Bleus winning 4-1 on their way to an eventual final defeat. After that game, Socceroos forward Cummings revealed that he tried to swap shirts with Kylian Mbappe and Olivier Giroud but had no luck, with the latter even pretending to not speak English.

Giroud responded on social media by revealing that he actually swapped with midfielder Jackson Irvine, but now it seems there was in fact a trade between the two strikers.
