Olivier Giroud has been successful very successful against Inter since joining Milan, bar the Supercoppa Italiana final, and could even set a new record in tomorrow’s clash between the two sides.
As provided by Serie A on the eve of the clash (read all of the stats in our preview), Giroud has the opportunity to set a new record tomorrow. In fact, he found the back of the net in his first two league games against Inter (three goals in total).
Should he score tomorrow, then he would become the first Milan player to score in each of the first three meetings against Inter in the three-points-per-win-era. It would be quite an accomplishment for the experienced Frenchman, in other words.
Giroud will play from the first minute but he will have to be on his toes, as Divock Origi is ready to come off the bench. The Belgian scored a lovely goal in the defeat against Sassuolo and will surely want to take part in the big game.
With Tata in post, Milan is in trouble.
