Giroud says Milan are ‘motivated’ to secure top-four finish against Juve

Ahead of the clash between AC Milan and Juventus, Olivier Giroud spoke to the media and shared his thoughts on the Rossoneri’s situation. They need just one point to secure a top-four finish, and they want to do it today.

Two games remain for Milan this season, first Juventus tonight and then Hellas Verona next week. One point is all the Rossoneri need to secure Champions League qualification for next season and they want to get the job done today.

Speaking to DAZN, as cited by MilanNews, Giroud acknowledged the fact that Milan have it all in their own hands. He assured the fans that the squad is very motivated to secure the matter tonight and avoid having to wait until the final round.

On the game…

“We are energized and motivated to close the season with the qualification for next season’s Champions League: that’s our goal. Now fate is in our hands and we know what we want tonight.

You’ve scored against many big names, but not Juve…

“Yes, last year I didn’t start at San Siro and I didn’t play the first leg here. It would be a great satisfaction to find the goal and help the team today.”

Giroud broke a long goal drought last time out as he bagged a hat-trick against Sampdoria. Milan will be hoping for a strong performance from the Frenchman tonight as well, but it will be a much tougher game.
