Hernandez reveals he could stay at Milan ‘forever’ and talks Scudetto ambitions

By Isak Möller -

Theo Hernandez has been one of the key players for Milan this season, as you would expect, after what was an impressive first term with the club. And the left-back seems to be very happy at the club.

This season, Hernandez has registered four goals and four assists in 24 league appearances, which are good numbers for a left-back. Indeed, he has continued his good form from the 2019/20 season in this term, proving himself as one of the best.

In an interview with Spanish outlet AS, Hernandez spoke about his time at Milan thus far and what he feels about the future at the club. He was also asked about the Scudetto, with the Rossoneri currently six points behind city rivals Inter.

“Stay at Milan forever? I’m very happy here. From the first moment I arrived, both the team, the fans and the entire club welcomed me very well. And when it’s like that, when you’re in such a good team on, you just don’t want to leave. I want to be here much longer.

“Scudetto? Yes, we are going all-in, there is still a lot left. Inter escaped us a little bit, but we are going to fight until the end. They can still lose or draw games. Then, obviously, I have the goal of playing the Champions League with this shirt. It would also be very nice because Milan have not been in it for quite some time,” he stated.

Milan will face Sampdoria after the international break and they will need every win they can get from there on. As their schedule is a bit easier than the other big teams, they could gain an advantage.
