How Milan’s line-up could look against Cagliari with rotation expected

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan will take on Cagliari on Wednesday evening and some rotation is expected ahead of the big clash against Lazio at the weekend. Indeed, there could be quite a few changes compared to the Verona win.

The schedule is very tight for the Rossoneri, currently competing on two fronts, and Stefano Pioli thus has to make the most of the players at his disposal. Yesterday, for example, the 17-year-old Davide Bartesaghi came off the bench.

Rade Krunic picked up an injury against Verona and will miss the upcoming games, while Mike Maignan could perhaps make his return against Lazio. On Wednesday, therefore, it’s believed that Tiiani Reijnders and Marco Sportiello will replace the two.

Probable Milan XI (4-3-3): Sportiello; Florenzi, Thiaw (Kjaer), Tomori, Theo; Loftus-Cheek, Reijnders (Adli), Pobega/Musah; Chukwueze, Okafor (Jovic), Leao.

It remains to be seen if Pioli will play Rafael Leao from the first minute, but since Luka Jovic isn’t in top condition yet Noah Okafor could be needed in the centre. Of course, Christian Pulisic can also play on the left flank.

  1. are u stupid all?
Musah role is CM…..u need to get them this role and position Pioli……u dont have beter them in this role….krunic just in musah reserve….

  2. I don’t think it makes sense to rush Theo into the starting lineup so soon seeing he is our most important players and we have stronger fixtures ahead.
