Zlatan Ibrahimovic has vowed to return even stronger from his knee surgery, and he believes that AC Milan too are better than last season.
Ibrahimovic is working to return to the field in January 2023 after undergoing knee surgery at the end of last season, and his big target is to get back on the pitch to contribute once again after celebrating the Scudetto win in May.
He is currently undergoing the next stages of his rehabilitation process but is back at the Milan training ground where he has been for a couple of weeks, so he can be close to the team and work on the field again.
Ibrahimovic gave an interview to La Gazzetta dello Sport during which he spoke about his recovery from the knee surgery he underway at the end of the season among other topics, with our colleagues at SempreMilan.it relaying his comments.
How are you after surgery? “Good, I work every day to get back.”
When will you be back? “You will see, for sure. When I come back, I will be heard, you can count on it. I will do it with violence.”
What is the recipe to getting back to the top? “It takes patience, this is the key now.”
Can you explain your passion for things away from the field? “With fashion, especially with Dean and Dan [of DSQUARED], I have a lot of fun. These clothes make me feel comfortable, they make me feel good, at ease. It’s the clothes that fit Ibra, not the other way around.”
The collection bears the IBRA name on the garments. “Too much? But no, I like to see people walking around in my clothes. What’s more beautiful?.”
What do you think about Boban telling you to retire? “Is he wrong? That depends. If I see a player stronger than me, I’ll stop. But I haven’t seen him yet…”
Are Milan stronger than last year when they won the Scudetto? “Yes, we are even stronger than last year as a group. Overall, we are a better team, the transfer market in the summer after the Scudetto has strengthened us and now we have more alternatives on the bench.”
You really love Milan? “This is clear. If I hadn’t liked it, I wouldn’t have been here.”
What do you think of Charles De Ketelaere? “De Ketelaere is a top player, I say so. You just have to give him some time to grow.”
If I see a player stronger than me, I’ll stop. But I haven’t seen him yet…
