Ibrahimovic says winning Scudetto with this Milan would give him ‘more satisfaction’

By Isak Möller -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic will soon be back on the pitch after missing out on three games (will be four tonight) due to Achilles inflammation. His target, just like his Milan teammates, is to win the Scudetto this season.

The Rossoneri have won three games on the bounce (all comps) and will be looking to make it four this evening, taking on Salernitana. They are currently one point ahead of Inter and a win would put them four points ahead, putting pressure on the Nerazzurri who play tomorrow.

Of course, Simone Inzaghi’s side also have a game in hand so Milan need to keep winning, starting with today’s game. As Ibrahimovic won’t be available for this one, Stefano Pioli will rely on Olivier Giroud once again.

In an interview with Radio 105 (via Calciomercato.com), which you can read in full here, Ibrahimovic revealed that winning the Scudetto with this Milan side would give him more satisfaction than then win ten years ago.

“This league seems balanced to me. Whoever is stronger from February-March, will win, also because now the European matches for the others begin. When I arrived, Serie A was different, it was full of superstars, while today it’s more focus on a collective. Should I win with this team, it would give me more satisfaction than [the Scudetto] ten years ago,” he stated.
