Inter legend Beppe Bergomi has said that AC Milan would be deserved winners if they do secure the Scudetto this season, a report claims.
Milan are two points ahead of Inter heading into the final two games of the season and the Rossoneri also have the better head to head record.
Talking whilst on Sky Sport (via Milan News), former Inter defender Beppe Bergomi admitted that Stefano Pioli’s side would be deserved winners should they secure the title in the next two games.
“Milan would win it on merit. Of the three, they were the most solid up front,” Bergomi said.
He also explained that Milan are in a great patch of form right now and their fans are dragging them towards the Serie A title.
“Milan are in a flow, things are going well for them because they make them go well. And it was seen with Fiorentina, the fans drag them forward,” he said.
Milan could potentially clinch the title this weekend even if they only get a point against Atalanta on Sunday evening. If Inter were to lose away at Cagliari in the late kick-off, one point for Milan would mean they cannot be caught by the Nerazzurri.
