Intermediary expects Milan, Dortmund and Aston Villa to make January move for Strasbourg star

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are expected to go back in for defender Mohamed Simakan in the January transfer window, according to an intermediary.

The Rossoneri were heavily linked with a move for Simakan towards the end of the summer window and his agent even confirmed to us that his client had agreed terms over a five-year deal.

MilanNews reported on Tuesday that the demands of Strasbourg at the end of the recent mercato were considered excessive by the management, but in January there will be a new attempt, and contacts between the parties are still continuing.

Now, Francesco Di Frisco – an intermediary who was involved in summer negotiations – has confirmed to Calciomercato.it that there are a number of top clubs who were interested in Simakan, with the Rossoneri expected to try again.

“There were many teams on Simakan: Lyon, Aston Villa and Borussia Dortmund, especially the Germans tried,” he said.

“In January, I think these clubs, including Milan, will try to push again. The boy has picked up where he left off, showing his qualities and it is possible that his admirers will also increase.”
