Italian media hail Real Madrid and Man Utd loanees who shone for Milan in Sparta Praha win

The Italian media have lauded Real Madrid and Manchester United loanees Brahim Diaz and Diogo Dalot for their performances in the 3-0 win over Sparta Praha.

Brahim netted the first goal of the night from a Zlatan Ibrahimovic to move onto three goals in all competitions for the Rossoneri, while Dalot set up Leao with a gorgeous assist before getting his own goal to make it 3-0.

Calciomercato.com said the following on Brahim: “The star of Brahim Diaz immediately shines, one of the five changes presented by Pioli after the first draw in the league. At the centre of the trident in support of Ibrahimovic, the forward on loan from Real Madrid has the merit of realising the Rossoneri’s superiority by exchanging at speed with the Swede, then with a nice left-right control he beat the goalkeeper.”

On Dalot, they added: “The action starts again this time from Bennacer, ready to fish with a long ball to Dalot who dusts off the challenge of his compatriot Quaresma, hitting an inviting ball for his other compatriot Leao to make it 2-0. That could be enough, but Milan have fun, discovering the quality of Dalot who, after giving a spectacular assist to Leao, collects Bennacer’s ball unmarked and signs the 3-0 with a great left foot shot.”

In our player ratings, Brahim Diaz was given a 7 with the following comment: “The Real Madrid loanee continued to impress with his swift turns and clever dribblings. Won the ball high up before he scored his goal and also added some much-needed flair to the Rossoneri’s attack.”

And Dalot received a 7.5: “The Man Utd loanee showed signs of what he can do against Celtic and did even better this evening, playing on the left side this time out. Picked out Leao with a gorgeous assist and also scored his first goal for the club.”

La Gazzetta dello Sport gave both players a 7 out of 10 in their player ratings on Friday, while MilanNews scored each the same as us, with the following comments…

Dalot 7.5: There was curiosity to see him on the left and he, in response, behaves well in the defensive phase and then, in the second half, embellishes everything with a ball that Leao translates into the 2-0 goal. He completed his test with a good goal, the first with the Milan shirt.”

Brahim Diaz 7: Starts and ends the move for the Rossoneri’s opener, embellished by the assist of Ibrahimovic. When he can beat a man or has the minimum space to beat an opponent, he always excites.”
