Journalist claims AC Milan winger has been offered to Arsenal amid Man Utd links

AC Milan midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu has been offered to Arsenal as his agent looks to find him a new club this month, according to one journalist.

Despite having been an almost permanent fixture in the starting XI since Stefano Pioli’s arrival as head coach in October, Calciomercato.com recently reported that Calhanoglu’s departure in January is a possibility.

There has been three links with teams in the Premier League, too. Leicester were linked by the aforementioned report which mentioned a €20m asking price, while the Daily Mirror stated Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is interested in the idea of signing the former Leverkusen man.

Then, Tuttosport (via MilanNews.it) claimed that Roma are also keen on the idea of signing the 25-year-old, but they face competition from the Gunners and Manchester United.

According to Sportitalia journalist Alessandro Jacobone, Calhanoglu’s agent is working to try and generate offers for his client to present to Milan.

Jacobone claims that Calhanoglu was offered to Arsenal, who at the moment are ‘cold’ on the idea of signing him.
