Journalist claims Calhanoglu has offers from England will will delay decision until after the Euros

By Oliver Fisher -

Hakan Calhanoglu does not want to make a decision on his future until after the European Championships, according to a report.

Calhanoglu’s contract will expire at the end of the month and he’s yet to make a decision on the renewal offer Milan have proposed. However, numerous sources have reported that there is still a difference between the offer on the table and what the former Leverkusen man wants to sign.

MilanNews spoke to Inanç Ergulen – a journalist who writes for Habertürk Spor – regarding the future of the Rossoneri playmaker and he revealed his belief that Calhanoglu will not make a decision any time soon.

“From the information I have, there are some offers for Calhanoglu. One or two English clubs, for example, are on his trail. Milan have presented the Turkish player with a new offer worth 4.5 million euros per year. Hakan will communicate his decision only after EURO 2020.”

According to the latest from Nicolo Schira on Twitter meanwhile, Calhanoglu and his agent Gordon Stipic are set to accept Milan’s offer on the table in order to extend his contract. Schira adds that the deal will be €4million net per year plus bonuses.

  1. Let’s pray this world-class playmaker will accept our offer. As he is the key for winning Champions League, we will wait as much as it takes. Fingers crossed!
