Journalist confirms Milan are ‘very interested’ in €44m Chelsea winger: “Top of their list”

AC Milan consider Hakim Ziyech to be their number one target to reinforce that attack, but it will not be an easy pursuit.

The Rossoneri have been repeatedly linked with a move for Ziyech over the last few weeks, with the winger having had a far from ideal first season at Chelsea following his big-money move from Ajax, leading to suggestions he could depart.

For some insight on a few ongoing rumours we spoke to Santi Aouna of FootMercato, and he provided his information on a number of different topics but also on Milan’s alleged pursuit of the Morocco international, confirming it is more than just baseless speculation.

“Milan are very interested in Ziyech. He’s at the top of their list. But this is not an obvious issue, especially for economic reasons. If they manage to get him signed, he will bring them a lot of good things,” he said.

Back in February of last year, it was announced that Ajax and Chelsea had reached an agreement of €40m – potentially increasing to a maximum of €44m when including bonuses – for Ziyech (via Wikipedia). Carlo Pellegatti also reported today that he is Milan’s dream target.
