Journalist confirms Milan’s interest in PSV winger but highlights hefty price tag

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan are expected to reinforce the right flank this summer and the arrival of Christian Pulisic might not be enough. Johan Bakayoko is another player on the Rossoneri’s list, but a huge offer will be needed.

Milan have reached an agreement with Chelsea over Pulisic and just the details remain for the transfer. The American will most likely be used mainly on the right but he can anywhere in the attacking trio, which Stefano Pioli appreciates.

With that in mind, and the fact that both Junior Messias and Saelemaekers could leave, Milan could sign another right-winger as well. As was first reported by MilanPress, and now confirmed by the credible PSV Eindhoven journalist Rik Elfrink, the Rossoneri along with Leipzig are interested in Johan Bakayoko.

He added that the teams interested will have to present a ‘huge bag of cash’ in order to get the winger, whose contract will expire in 2026. Most likely, the demand is more than the €25m suggested by MilanPress.

This past season, the 20-year-old got 9 goals and 6 assists for PSV in all competitions (39 appearances).
