Luka Jovic has been heading away from AC Milan almost immediately after signing his renewal in the summer, and with Monza interested, the Rossoneri are hoping.
The decision to renew Jovic’s contract in the summer is one that has often been mocked since. Re-signing an injury-prone striker that has not played many minutes this season is a really bad decision and this much has been repeated by the media and fans.
In the summer, attempts to part ways were futile, and so far attempts to see the Serbian depart have not brought fruits. However, Monza have crept up as a genuine option.
As Matteo Moretto reports, Jovic is currently unsure about the proposal from Monza, and considering where they are in the table, there is a risk of Serie B football next season, which of course would mean a loss of earnings.
Nevertheless, a meeting with his agent is scheduled ‘in the next few hours’ to evaluate the situation and what the outcome will be, given he is currently ‘not convinced’ of joining the Biancorossi. The discussion, as expected, will be a detailed one.
In a follow-up tweet, the journalist clarified that the discussions would take place this evening, so an outcome could be found very shortly.

Is he really injured like you have written on the Post Ben dixon or it’s incompetent decision from milan management to renew and found-out Milan can’t sign many foreign players like they want and put him forcefully on injured list as Jovic is playing for national team most part of season.
Neither. He’s available and even played in this last match. I think he’s a decent player who was never really given a good chance here. He scored a decent amount of goals last season coming off the bench late in games last season. Never really given much of an opportunity as a starter except for a couple games last year. It’s hard to stay sharp when not playing on a consistent basis. I think he could do well for Monza.
He has the most goals for the club of the 3 striker we have rn, but we’ll get rid of him instead of Abraham or Missrata. Ridiculous…
Yes, because the rest of his game is limited. Abraham is a good passer. Morata can be, when he’s not diving. Jovic out would mean more chances for Camarda.
He might go but it’s not like it’s really going to open the door for anyone incoming, and might well need his goals later on. It was not a good idea by either party to re-sign but probably an option worth keeping if there’s no chance of an upgrade. For Jovic, Monza should be a great opportunity to relaunch.
It’s just sad how decent player like Jovic got wasted under Fonseca and Conceicau.
On the other hand, Pioli gave Jovic a fair chances and as we all knew his goals helped Milan a lot. If Pioli didn’t played Jovic, last season we wouldn’t finished at 2nd place and qualified for CL.
I would play him frequently instead of morata tbh.. I think jovic is the kind of player who s*cks on training but good at games.
