Kaka insists Paqueta comparisons can be harmful

AC Milan legend Kaka spoke to the media today to discuss the rumours surrounding Lucas Paquetá and the Derby this weekend

Kaka told Milan TV: “The derby is a very special game and the atmosphere that is present during the game is unique. I was very lucky because I scored my first goal with Milan against Inter with the head which wasn’t best my best quality.”

“Paquetá is a player with a great future ahead of him. He has already been called for Brazil. However, it will be better for him to not be compared by anyone.

“I’ve seen several comparisons [concerning Paquetá] with me, Pato, Ronaldinho, Cafu, Rivaldo and all the Brazilians who were part of the history of Milan. We must avoid these comparisons to let him play with calmness. I hope that he does well and I’m very confident.”

Speaking on his plans for the future, the Brazilian revealed: “I spoke with Leo and Paolo. At the moment I’m more close to Milan. It’s like that for now, my priority is staying close to my family, Luca, and Isabella, who are 10 and 7 years old.

“I speak a lot with Leonardo to try to understand how to become a director. I am taking a course in Brazil in sports management. I hope that one day I manage to work at Milan as a director, there is nothing definite at the moment.”
