Kalulu happy with clean sheet but admits Milan must ‘do better in attack’ vs. Inter

AC Milan wanted to get back to winning ways this evening but only got one point from the game against Juventus. A strong defensive performance was behind the clean sheet and Pierre Kalulu was one of the players that did well.

None of the defenders, in fact, ranked below 6 (which is what Kalulu) got and the highest was Theo Hernandez with a 7. You can take a look at all of the scores in our player ratings.

Kalulu had a decent game and besides a few positional errors he, once again, had a lot of courage on and off the ball and that helped Milan. Speaking to MilanTV after the clash (via MilanNews), he shared his thoughts on the 0-0 draw.

On the clean sheet…

“Yes, it’s a positive figure for everyone, not just for us defenders. We did well, we have to continue like this.”

On the derby…

“It’s an important match for us and for the fans. Compared to today we have to do better in attack to bring home the three points.”

On the centre-back role…

“If you play with continuity, it is easier to play well. I also got along well with Romagnoli. I feel at ease as a centre-back.”

Milan will take on Inter after the break and depending on the condition of Fikayo Tomori (and now also Alessio Romagnoli), Kalulu could start again. He has done well so it’s not exactly a disaster to have him on the pitch.
