Tuttosport: Kessie desperate for Italy return – Milan’s stance outlined

By Euan Burns -

Former AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie is desperate to return to Italy from Barcelona but the Rossoneri may not help him, a report claims.

As has been reported by Tuttosport today (via Milan News), Kessie is keen to end his Barcelona adventure after just half a season and he favours a return to Italy.

He left Milan on a free transfer for Barcelona in the summer but he has not been able to get regular game time under Xavi Hernandez this season. The rumours from Spain are that he would like a return to Milan.

It seems that Milan view it as a closed chapter in their history and the player’s career and they are exploring other profiles for the midfielder after Kessie made it clear that he does not want to stay.

There is potential interest from cross-city rivals Inter in the Ivorian though but the high salary could be an issue for the Nerazzurri.

  1. Kessie never was smart. I cant say he was stupid but i think he deserves Barca bench or Premier League middle table team. Good luck Franck.

  2. Lol this new is BS

I’m sure Cashie love that Barca bench and 6 million euros /year while his agent got big commission and now he’s travelling in his brand new yacht, smoking weeds, and slapping hoes ass night and day hahaha.

  3. Kessie had his flaws but you can’t deny his talent, he was a stalwart for us in his time here, we should be more concerned about our managements unwillingness to cough up the money and keep our valuable players, at this rate, Milan will become the next non profit Benfica, who buys potential quality players on the cheap and sell for gains whereas we lose them for free at Milan

    1. Much rather be Benfica than broke Inter, bankrupt Barca, or criminal Juve.
When will you learn, you can’t spend what you don’t have?

  4. I’d like him back, same terms that we offered for the renewal. He is a good player and would improve our squad. People make mistakes, and this is business. If we can get him cheap as Barca need the money, it would be good business.

    1. I think I agree to this. If they offer him same term that they offered him before he left and he agrees then they should sign in. He was a good player for Milan, we can deny all the things he did .

  5. Kessie chapter with millan is closed..he doesn’t deserve a second chance from millan…Kaka Left MILLAN for Madrid a legend and fetched millan a big money in that move that’s why MILLAN opened the door for him when he wanted to return but kessie betrayed millan with he’s words during the Olympic so I don’t think the fans has forgiven him for that.the only place kessie can play regular football is a mid table Team..as for playing at a top club every minute is gone for him.

  6. All he made with this trip to Barcelona is that Milan earned nothing from him,and Barcelona will earn some money if goes. He helped Barcelona to make money and betrayed Milan who made him a real player.

  7. People need to grow up lol. Kessie “betrayed” us because he left? That is childish. Yes I was upset he left but Everyman has his right to chose who he works for and how much he wants to work for. When he was with us he gave 100% every time on the pitch and was exemplary off of it. His only mistake was saying publicly he would stay. But who knows what was said or promised to him either. Our management wasn’t perfect especially when Elliot was in charge. When he was with us he bled for the shirt and that is all that matters. We wouldn’t have won last season without him and are struggling in the mid this year due to his absence. I would welcome him back with open arms under the right conditions – loan w Barca paying some of his salary or if he takes a pay cut to the fee we offered him. We need him and we would win league again if he came IMO. This is all speculation as he likely goes to the EPL where his style of play would fit excellent in that league and where those clubs can pay his salary. But all this crying about how he is greedy and betrayed us is just childish.

    1. Agreed, it’s like romagnoli, yes he left on a free but while they were there they gave their 100% focus and ability to Milan and the games we had, and that’s admirable

  8. Milan were far more solid defensively with Kessie. It really annoyed me that he chose to leave but I absolutely would have him back. Milan were better with him.

    1. No, i think ACM can do better at attacking without Kessie & give Tonali more important role now, as Mezzala, who go on higher than Bennacer, do high press & distribute ball to final third. Tonali’s vision, work rate, clever play, passing help a lot.
