GdS: Krunic and Pobega have a strong chance of starting against Sassuolo

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are back in action on Sunday afternoon as they face Sassuolo hoping to break a run of five games without a win, and there will be changes in midfield.

As La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) report today, in addition to long-term absentees such as Mike Maignan, Alessandro Florenzi and Zlatan Ibrahimovic plus the injured Fikayo Tomori, Pioli will not be able to rely on Ismael Bennacer.

The Algerian midfielder was on four bookings for the season heading into the 4-0 defeat against Lazio on Wednesday night and he got his fifth for kicking the ball away after being penalised for a foul, meaning he gets a one-match suspension.

When factoring that in plus the lack of balance in the team at present and the amount the defence are getting exposed, it is a strong possibility that Rade Krunic and Tommaso Pobega will both start the match against Sassuolo, and if not both of them then certainly one will.

  1. Such a good utility player Krunic is. Can play the pivot, knows the movements for the CAM in Pioli’s system, can play wing, and probably full back.

      1. Bro, you are probably better than Tata. At this point even Harry Maguire is better than Tata. He’s on such a poor form
