Krunic praises fans for giving Milan ‘a great boost’ and previews Juve clash

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan will face Juventus in less than 30 minutes and after the defeat to Spezia, they will be looking to bounce back with a win. Rade Krunic is one of the players that will feature from the first minute.

The Bosnian initially wasn’t respected to start, with Sandro Tonali and Tiemoue Bakayoko set to partner up, but Stefano Pioli eventually changed his mind. Ismael Bennacer is back from AFCONs but Krunic was deemed the better option.

Speaking to MilanTV, as cited by MilanNews, Krunic shared his thoughts on the important game and also the defeat to Spezia. He also spoke about the fact that there will be just 5K fans present this evening (due to stadium regulations).

On the preparation for the match…

“We analyzed the defeat against Spezia. Tonight we will do our best.”

On the game…

“Some games are worth more than others, it is a great thrill to play these games. Winning against an opponent like this would be important.”

On the fans…

“It is a pity that they won’t be at the stadium to support us, but seeing them before the match gave us a great boost anyway.”

Bennacer has only had one training session with the group since returning so you can understand why the manager has gone for Krunic, who most likely is more tactically prepared.
