Montella confirmed yesterday he believes the club want to keep him although he admitted that lack of results could lead to an early sacking.
According to today’s edition of La Repubblica (as quoted by Calciomercato), AC Milan’s owners are furious with the club’s results and that makes Montella’s position much more precarious.
The Italian paper claims executive David Han Li is not happy with Montella’s work which has led to his future being on the brink, despite Fassone’s public shows of support.
Milan face AEK Athens in the Europa League at San Siro on Thursday night and will be expected to seal a win to continue their impressive European campaign.
