Today’s edition of La Stampa claims that Milan are still in the race for Milinkovic-Savic, with Leonardo taking an important step towards signing the midfielder.
A few days ago, the newspaper claimed that Milan were looking to sign Milinkovic-Savic on loan for €40m, with an option to buy set at €80m. Today, La Stampa once again confirms this, as Leonardo met the player’s agent in Rome yesterday to discuss the potential move.

In January, Leonardo expressed his desire to sign the Serbian star. However, at the time, he was unemployed.
“If I were the sporting director of any top European club right now, the first player I would buy is Milinkovic,” Leonardo stated.
