After yesterday’s defeat in the Coppa Italia derby, AC Milan immediately returned to work at Milanello today and had a preseason friendly.
As per MilanNews, the players who played the full match yesterday or a large chunk had a relaxed training session, while the others played a friendly match against an amateur team called Audace SSD of Verona.
The match ended in a 9-0 win for the Rossoneri and the most interesting takeaway was that Marko Lazetic scored a hat-trick after his first senior appearance last night. Junior Messias netted a brace, while Alessio Romagnoli, Giovanni Robotti, Alexis Saelemaekers and Fode Ballo-Touré got the others.
In terms of recoveries, Romagnoli played the whole game which suggests his return is close, while Ante Rebic worked on his own. Zlatan Ibrahimovic continued his therapies to resolve a knee overload and it is expected that he will rejoin the rest of the squad in the coming days ahead of the season finale.
