AC Milan and Inter are reportedly both in the running to land forward Memphis Depay from Lyon as Barcelona’s interest has been denied.
It was reported by Gianluca Di Marzio (via MilanNews) last week that Lyon could propose Memphis Depay to Milan in the Paquetá operation, while SportMediaset then confirmed this rumour, stating that Depay would love to play with his idol Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Although it seemed that Barcelona were still the favourites to land the 26-year-old, but GetFootballNewsFrance have provided a short update on the future of Depay.
They claim that sources have told them that Lyon have had no active negotiations with Barcelona, nor has the player been in concrete talks with the Nou Camp club about a potential contract.
In addition, the report adds that newspaper Le Progres also believe there is nothing serious with Barcelona, and that it is in face Milan and Inter who are showing the most serious interest.
