Olivier Giroud still wants to leave Chelsea despite the fact they extended his contract and he would like to join AC Milan, a report claims.
Chelsea’s official website confirmed earlier in the month that the Frenchman has extended his contract until 2022 despite all the strong speculation that he is Milan-bound and the flattering words of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
According to the latest from Le10Sport, the Rossoneri are the team on pole to sign the ex-Arsenal striker even though Chelsea exercised the option of an additional year provided for in the contract meaning the new deadline is June 2022.
Milan and Chelsea could agree on a small compensation for the 34-year-old even though his deal has just been extended. For his part Giroud has a clear mind: if there must be a departure, it will be for Milan as they are his priority. The project seduces him and the prospect of coming to finally take on Serie A seems to tempt him very much.
