Rafael Leao played a big part in AC Milan’s comeback win against Hellas Verona last night, bagging two impressive assists for Sandro Tonali. However, there was one occasion he could have handled a lot better.
In the first half, just before Milan’s equaliser, Leao was booked after intervening in a mini-row that took place on the pitch involving Verona’s Davide Faraoni. It was an unnecessary booking that could result in the finger missing the game against Sassuolo.
Just like Brahim Diaz, Kalulu, Romagnoli and Tomori, Leao is now just one yellow card away from a suspension and he will thus have to be careful against Atalanta. As we saw against Verona, he’s such an important player and not having him available would be a blow.
Depending on the scoreline, Stefano Pioli might decide to throw in Ante Rebic earlier than he perhaps would have to keep Leao from getting a yellow card late in the game.
Why the club do not do appeal for his yellow card ? Come on, he did nothing !
Yeah it was not a yellow card worthy atall.
