AC Milan managed to beat Lazio in the best way possible as they scored four goals at the San Siro this evening. Rafael Leao was one of the goalscorers and also got an assist, proving his importance again.

The Portuguese winger opened the scoring after a lovely run (picked out by Romagnoli) and then he assisted Olivier Giroud for the second goal of the game. In other words, it was yet another important and impressive display from him.

In our player ratings, Leao got an 8/10 and although Giroud got the same score, the winger was deemed as the MOTM. Speaking to Mediaset after the game (via MilanNews), the No.17 shared his thoughts on the game.

“The derby was an important match, we arrived at today’s game loaded. We did an extraordinary job until the end, the result is fair. We wanted the semi-final ticket. the Coppa Italia is a competition that Milan want to win, we want to continue like this. I’m always ready to help the team with goals and assists. The most important thing today was to advance to the semi-finals,” he stated.

Milan will now face Inter in the semi-finals, which is played over two legs. It remains to be seen if the Rossoneri can remain unbeaten against their city rivals (1-1 and 2-1 this season), which would be an important achievement.

  1. Next season, Milan need more quality player in right wing to build the same quality attach from both flank. Noa Lang can be a suitable choice.
