Krzysztof Piatek was presented today at Milanello. Sporting director Leonardo spoke at the press conference about the transfer market and reflected on the deal to bring the Pole to the San Siro.
“The number 9 shirt? There is no good or bad luck behind the choice. Piatek wanted the number but we decided that it should be earned on the pitch. Higuain? There is not much to say. He made his choice and he is not here, we need players who want to be involved in the project. We are here now for Piatek, so we will talk about him,” he said.
“The choice to sign Piatek was not difficult. He scored 13 goals in 19 games. He immediately showed his qualities. It was an unexpected investment but we had the possibility to make it and choosing Piatek was not difficult.
“Ibra and Fabregas? Their purchases were not blocked by the line we have on the market but by the market situations. All the choices are shared by everyone, even by the coach.
“Our market so far? Perhaps we are the ones who have done the most, two important purchases have been made, not only for the present but also for the future. Now we have to understand if we can do anything else but the team is already competitive with Piatek and Paqueta,” Leonardo concluded.
