L’Equipe: Milan duo to play from start for France – Giroud on the bench

By Isak Möller -

France will take on the Netherlands in the Euro Qualifiers this evening and two AC Milan players are expected to be on the pitch from the first minute. It could have been three, though.

The Euro Qualifiers kicked off yesterday and France will be in action tonight, taking on the Netherlands at Stade de France. According to L’Equipe (via Andrea Propato), both Mike Maignan and Theo Hernandez are expected to start.

Milan’s top goalscorer Olivier Giroud will be on the bench, courtesy of Kolo Muani who has impressed a lot lately. It’s not unlikely that we will see the 36-year-old off the bench, though, but it will depend on how the game goes.

Giroud’s colleague, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, is also expected to start on the bench tonight as Sweden will take on Belgium in their first Euro Qualifier. The old men will have to try to make an impact off the bench, therefore.

    1. Who told you that? 😀 He probably picked to go to a smaller club and play in the first team. Being a possible backup to Giroud is an insult.
