Juventus have made Fikayo Tomori their top target for the defence, hoping to reunite him with Pierre Kalulu this month. However, according to a report, it will take some convincing to change the player’s stance.
Since the arrival of Sergio Conceicao, Tomori has started every game after a period of bench-sitting. The Portuguese manager believes in the centre-back a lot and has already made it clear that he’s against a sale in this transfer window.
However, as reported by Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, Juventus are pushing for Tomori’s arrival. An offer of €25-30m including bonuses will be needed to convince Milan, but the toughest part could be to convince the player.
Tomori is keen on staying at Milan, per the report, and even the prospect of reuniting with Kalulu hasn’t changed things for now. Juventus will continue to push for his arrival in the coming hours and it remains to be seen if Thiago Motta can deliver some magic words.
Kalulu was asked about Tomori’s potential move last night and stated that ‘it went well for now’, though refusing to make any sort of decision for his former teammate. We will simply have to wait and see if the deal can materialise, with updates expected soon.
DONT SELL TO YOUR DAMN RIVALS!!!! newcastle is
showing interest and you can get even get more money out of them because its a prem club these guys are so clueless and stupid it makes me sick
yeah, idi0tic move by management. Enhancing rival, meanwhile we in a bad position. and did they not learn something about Caldara transfer
Hmm, why strengthen an opponent?
1. Newcastle are not interested in Tomori and they’re short of money.
2. Tomori isn’t better than Juve’s defenders, he’s only being signed because of their injury crisis – Bremer and Cabal are both out for the season.
3. Keeping Tomori has zero impact on getting a UCL place. Without money, we cannot sign reinforcements and have zero chance of getting a UCL place, that’s why he’s being sold.
4. In case you hadn’t noticed, Thiaw and Gabbia were our best pairing. Tomori is simply back-up. That Conceicao, on a six month contract, prefers him to THE ITALIAN Gabbia, has and should have no bearing on whether or not he’s sold.
5. This don’t sell to your rivals is an EPL thing. There’s no culture of it in Italy.
We signed Inzaghi and Ibrahimovic from Juve. Without them we don’t win the UCL and a scudetto. Juve have also similarly had success, with Pirlo and Abbiati.
Gabbia Thiaw indeed a starter. but they’re suspect to a slight injury. Pavlo isn’t ready to become starter, im not against selling tomori, but do you thing this clown management will buying a proper CB after we sell Tomori?
For Serie A rivals the price should be more than double. Juve can afford it. Or don’t sell.
Better sell to a team outside Italy if an offer comes.
Tomori is lacking positioning but he is much quicker than Gabbia, Thiaw and Pavlovic.
I had high hopes for him but he makes too many mistakes. But so does everyone else in our team.
CB’s incidentally is the one position we are decent with so far. By offloading Tomori we will eff that up too…
no vision.
