AC Milan are expected to strengthen the squad ahead of next season and given that they are competing for the Scudetto this campaign, it could make them a serious and certain contender next term as well.

Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are working on several fronts, not just scanning the market for potential signings but also speaking to a few agents over renewals. On his Twitter profile, the reliable Daniele Longo provided an update on several matters.

Divock Origi to Milan is 99% done and he will be one of the first signings of the summer, per the journalist. Sven Botman could also be one of the first has he has decided to join Milan, who are in talks with Lille over the transfer fee.

Renato Sanches is another Lille player that could arrive this summer, being ‘close’ to a Milan move as per Longo. Moving on to the renewals, Rafael Leao wants to stay and Sandro Tonali will get a pay rise (one-year extension).

Furthermore, Alessandro Florenzi should be redeemed by Milan at the end of the season, either for the agreed €4.5m or a little less. Romagnoli, on the other hand, is further away from a renewal.
