AC Milan need to reinforce the midfield this summer amid the departure of Sandro Tonali and with the imminent arrival of Ruben Loftus-Cheek, the Rossoneri are also aiming for another midfielder.
Loftus-Cheek is just one step away from joining Milan as an agreement has been reached with Chelsea. The Rossoneri will pay €16m plus an additional €4m in bonuses, as was reported by Gazzetta Dello Sport this morning.
In addition to the Englishman, Milan want to bring in 2-3 midfielders, as reported by Daniele Longo. They have opened talks with Valencia over the youngster Yunus Musah and the Rossoneri could get a significant discount on the €30m price tag, as the Spanish side need money.
The 20-year-old American international made 33 league appearances for Valencia last season and registered two assists. One big plus is that he has an Italian passport, which means that he won’t take one of the few non-EU slots.
€20-30m for him would be a big investment but could be a very good one, especially as he wouldn’t need to be registered for UCL this year (due to being U21).
U21 for UCL does not apply for new arrivals. If I recall correctly, only U21 players who have been at the club for 2 seasons can use it. This is the reason that last season CdK cannot be registered as U21 for UCL.
As for Serie A, all U22 regardless of how long they have been at he club does not need to be registered at the 25-person list.

To be fair, we’re missing 4 midfielders we had last year (Tonali, Bennacer [for 4+ months], Bakayoko, Vranckx) and never really replaced Kessie… I think we could really do with both (in addition to RLC).
Bakayoko was surplus last season, Vranckx was supposed to replace him. Pobega was supposed to replace Kessie but fail.
We need 5 DM, we still have 3 (Pobega, Krunic, and Bennacer) so we need 2 more. 4 DM for 6 months (untill Bennacer return) is enough.
Hopefully, the 2 new DM can fill the void left behind by Kessie and Tonali.
We need one more DMF for double pivot. 5 DMF are enough because only two will play . We still have bennacer ( injured) , pobega ,krunic ,RLC . Aster prank replaced by RLC . I hope we can get amrabat or hjulmand for last DMF
