Longo: Milan willing to sell Jovic as Juventus move is possible – the situation

Luka Jovic has ended up at the bottom of the pecking order at AC Milan and as a result, he could be sold in January. According to a report, his agent is already working on this and Juventus are one of the potential destinations.

Jovic has played just 78 minutes for Milan this season, with Paulo Fonseca opting for Tammy Abraham and Alvaro Morata instead. Although the contract was extended in the summer, it’s clear that the Serbian no longer is a part of the club’s plans.

According to Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, his agent Fali Ramadani is already working on a solution and there are several suitors from ‘exotic leagues’, while Juventus are another option. The injury of Arkadiusz Milik makes this possible and of course, Jovic knows his compatriot Dusan Vlahovic well.

Milan are willing to sell the player and have already started planning for this outcome. However, it wouldn’t change much for the Rossoneri on the mercato as Fonseca always has seen Noah Okafor as a wildcard to use more in attack. That being said, the Milan management will be vigilant if any opportunities arise.

It remains to be seen what will happen but there is no problem with finding suitors for the striker, who is ready to move one.

  1. Jovic out. Morata/Tammy starters. And if one of them is unavailable RLC is not a good alternative?

Thing is though, Jovic plays better in a two striker system, which we’re finally using. As does Okafor up front. I wonder if there’s something there Fonseca doesn’t like?

    1. Why is everyone in agreement that Jovic is better in a two striker system???

Is that based on the little time he’a played for Milan or his role as a solo striker in previous teams?

      1. Because last season, most of his contributions came when Giroud and/or Okafor were still on the pitch.
Pioli sometimes kept Giroud till the end of the game and subbed out a midfielder for Jovic.
He did well when the defense’s attention had to be split between him and the other striker and not so well when he was the only striker to focus on.
The question now is: can he actually reproduce Abraham’s pressing and workrate if he is asked to replace him ?

      1. What are you smoking? Why would juve swap their starting teenager for a Milan sub?

Like honestly. Why do you think juve would do that? I’m totally baffled by the thought process most of the users on here have.. dumb as rocks comes 2 mind

  2. Hard to understand. Jovic produced in mostly substitute opportunities last year. Scored a lot of important goals.
