Lyon star Memphis Depay discusses future amid €30m Milan links

By Oliver Fisher -

Lyon striker Memphis Depay has commented on his future amid speculation linking him with a move to AC Milan.

It was revealed by Radio Rossonera Wednesday that the club jad held a meeting with representatives of the Sports Entertainment Group a day previous at Casa Milan.

They have a list of clients which includes the likes of Stefan de Vrij, Marten de Roon, Kevin Strootman, Kasper Dolberg and perhaps most interestingly Depay.

Milan have been linked with a move for the former Manchester United man sporadically throughout the summer, but it was claimed last month that a €30m bid could be launched.

Depay has earned admirers after netting 10 goals and providing 10 assists in 29 league appearances last season, and could be an ideal fit in Marco Giampaolo’s 4-3-1-2 formation.

Now, the player has commented on his future, stating he is only focusing on Lyon and the Netherlands but also hinting that he is waiting for interest to arrive.

“Everyone can talk about my future, but I’m in Lyon and I want to give my best here,” he told L’Equipe (via Calciomercato.com).

“For the rest we’ll see, I’m 25 years old and there are many interesting things ahead of me: the Champions League, and the European Championships with Holland.

“So, no stress, some interest will come.”
