Tijani Reijnders’ magic moment seems to be never-ending, and he recorded another important contribution with his national team last night.
As MilanNews writes, Reijnders is having an incredible season with Milan, proving to be the best player of the season together with Christian Pulisic. What is most surprising about Tiji is the sensational scoring streak he has shown this year, with 13 goals for the Rossoneri.
Furthermore, all the goals have come from open play, yet another proof of the leap in quality made by the Dutchman. Indeed, last year too – when he scored four – Reijnders easily created goal-scoring opportunities, but struggled to find the net due to a lack of clarity and concreteness.
Last night, he got his fourth goal for the Netherlands and his 16th this season for club and country. It was a lovely bit of pass-and-move football involving Jeremie Frimpong, who cut the ball back to Reijnders who then unleashed a precise and powerful left-footed shot into the bottom corner.
The season at team level is not going very well for Milan and this is clear for all to see. If there are two positive notes, however, they are definitely Reijnders and Pulisic, without whom the campaign would probably have been even worse.
It is the kind of form that has drawn links with top clubs like Barcelona and Manchester City. However, fans do not need to worry as it was announced earlier this month that Reijnders had renewed his contract with Milan until 2030.
The renewal doesn’t mean anything in the grand scheme of things. Unfortunately you put a big enough offer in front of Furlani and he’I’ll cash out (I was gonna say his mom but rumor has it she recently passed away…) anyone.
All this does is allow Milan to sell Reijnders at a higher price. Although I hope there’s enough intelligence at Milan to build around Reijnders and Pulisic.
You put a big enough offer in front of anyone for any player, and if the player wants to leave, his club will sell him.
If the player doesn’t want to leave, no matter the offer, he can’t be sold.
Berlusconi accepted a 100 mil offer for Kaka from ManCity, but Kaka rejected it, and the transfer didn’t happen.
Milan reportedly accepted a 50 mil offer from Como for Theo, but he rejected it, and the transfer didn’t happen.
Maldini accepted the offer in January for Kessie from Tottenham, but Kessie rejected, stayed, and helped Milan win the scudetto.
All this nonsense that Furlani will sell players who don’t want to leave come from people who are trying to convince themselves that Tonali didn’t want to leave Milan, but he was pushed out. The player has a say in a transfer. This is not the NBA.
Tonali on being sold to Newcastle: “When you say no, there must also be a no from the club. In negotiations it is difficult for there to be two nos or two yeses: there is always a yes and a no.”
But keep pushing this bs narrative.
I totally agree with you, in a player transfer, there are three things that need to happen, the buyer’s club’s desire, the owner’s club’s desire, and of course the player’s desire. A very stupid argument from the person above who always blames Furlani and even brings up his mother, really has no manners
hahaha OK…. You must have been asleep when Tonali was sold…
Sandro didn’t want to move, but you “convince” him hard enough that its best for the club and suddenly you have very little keeping you there…
Having tonali in team if we just made this addition of tiji in 2023, then the mid would have been complete.
As they just bought him for 20 million.
But they sold tonali and then bought him
