AC Milan have been boosted today by three returns to Milanello, and all three players will be key in the next few months, especially a returning midfielder.
News broke on Monday afternoon that Theo Hernandez and Mike Maignan would not be present for Milan’s fixture against Sassuolo duo to medical reasoning, and this was confirmed by Paulo Fonseca later in the afternoon.
However, there is no reason to worry about their long term conditions with both back at Milanello for training this afternoon, according to reports from Milan News.
In addition to this, Ismael Bennacer has returned to Milanello for the first time to take back in individual training, as expected earlier this week. The Algerian midfielder has suffered a lot in the past two seasons, but the Rossoneri will hope that he can return to his previous levels, given they see his return as a new signing.
The good news, unfortunately, comes with bad news. Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who was substituted at half-time and Marco Sportiello, who also was substituted, are yet to be assessed. It is reported that the Englishman has a calf contusion, whereas the goalkeeper has knee inflammation. Their presence tomorrow will depend on their respective assessments.
