AC Milan are experiencing a very positive moment compared to the struggles of recent seasons, and they want to safeguard the protagonists of the resurgence.

Calciomercato.com reports that there is obviously maximum focus on Sunday’s season finale against Sassuolo, but Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara – among the main architects of the resurrection of the Rossoneri – are continuing to plan for the summer despite their deals expiring next month.

Elliott Management have faith in the current duo as well as the head of scouting Geoffrey Moncada, and the extension of the agreement expiring on June 30th represents a formality.

Maldini and Massara have recently carried out continuous contacts to define the first three summer signings – Sven Botman, Renato Sanches and Divock Origi – is proof that the current ownership want to go on with them.

In addition to that, the renewals of three players – namely Pierre Kalulu, Ismael Bennacer and Rafael Leao – are also being worked on by the current management.

Elliott want to await the developments on the front of the ongoing negotiations for the possible sale of the club to Investcorp or Redbird, but the work of Maldini and Massara is met with unanimous approval.
