Maldini says Tonali will make a ‘significant contribution to the future success of the club’

Sandro Tonali is officially a Milan player. The midfielder signed his contract with the club earlier this evening and the Rossoneri have now announced the transfer. Paolo Maldini, the technical director, spoke about the signing.

The 20-year-old has signed a five-year deal with the club and the Rossoneri fans are delighted with his arrival. Of course, Paolo Maldini deserves a lot of credit – as well as Ricky Massara – for securing him with such an advantageous formula.

In the official statement released by Milan, Maldini spoke about the transfer and what Tonali will bring to the club. Of course, the future is looking very good for the Rossoneri, considering that Tonali isn’t the only young prospect they have.

“We are excited to welcome Sandro to the Rossoneri family. As a talented, young midfielder he will not only embrace the values of AC Milan but also make a significant contribution to the future success of the club,” he stated.

Milan will pay €10m for the loan (spread over two years), €15m for the buy-out clause and an additional €10m in bonuses. In total, therefore, €35m for a player that has a very bright future ahead and was linked with several big clubs.
