Mediaset: Boban working ‘with the lights off’ for Barcelona midfielder

By Isak Möller -

It’s no surprise that AC Milan are searching the market for possible reinforcements ahead of the January transfer window, given that they have collected just 13 points after the first 11 games.

According to Mediaset’s Claudio Raimondi (via Tuttomercatoweb.com), one of the things that the Rossoneri are looking for is an experienced figure. They already have many young players, so now it’s all about getting the balance right.

The Chief Football Officer of Milan, Zvone Boban, is working ‘with the lights off’ to sign Ivan Rakitic from Barcelona. The midfielder wants to leave for a new adventure, per the reporter, as he isn’t getting enough space with the Catalan side.

His experience would be very useful for the Rossoneri, although everything comes at a price. It remains to be seen what Barcelona will ask for the Croatian, and it could potentially be an obstacle as Milan’s financial situation isn’t at its best.
