Mediaset is claiming that Ivan Gazidis is personally flying to London to meet with Maurizio Sarri. He is rumored to be offering him a three year contract with three million euros per year.
The Italian was met with criticism during his year in London but has not done poorly. His Chelsea side finished third in the table, securing Champions league for the Blue’s next season. He is also days away from potentially winning his first trophy, the Europa League.
Sarri also brought Chelsea to the league cup final against Manchester City which his side lost.
Returning to Italy may be a tempting idea for Sarri after multiple successful years at Napoli.
