Mediaset: Juventus, Chelsea and PSG circle as Milan run into two problems with star’s renewal

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma is no closer to signing a new contract with the club, according to a report.

In addition to confirming that Hakan Calhanoglu is close to renewing and that a new one-year extension for Zlatan Ibrahimovic is on the cards, SportMediaset (via MilanNews) have offered an update on the future of Ibrahimovic.

Donnarumma – among the three – is at the moment farthest from renewing because there is still too much difference between demand (€10m net per season) and offer (€7m). The parties are also distant on the duration of the contract as Milan are offering a four-year deal, while Raiola would prefer an extension of one or at most two years so that the big European clubs could make an important investment down the line.

Donnarumma is in the sights of Chelsea and PSG but also Juventus, who remain in the background. Milan, on the other hand, remains Gigio’s preferred option, but his eventual stay could also depend on participation in the next Champions League.

  1. Maldini is a legend. Way greater than most. He can’t be hackled like this by a player/his agent. Gigio is one of the best shot stoppers. But he has terrible distribution and can not play from the back out. Let him go. Send a message. Milan is greater than anyone.
