Mediaset: Milan hit roadblock in talks for Ibrahimovic’s renewal – Raiola wants €7.5m

By Isak Möller -

After the rumours about an agreement that practically has reached between Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Milan for the renewal, there seems to have been a slowdown to the negotiations in recent days.

According to SportMediaset, the Rossoneri’s offer has been revealed: €5m for the fixed part plus €1m in various bonuses related to individual and team goals. A total of €6m for next season, in other words, approximately €12m gross.

A notable effort for a club that are trying hard to decrease the overall wage bill, with CEO Ivan Gazidis keen on lowering the salaries starting next season. The offer to the Swede, therefore, is an expectation.

Mino Raiola and Ibrahimovic have made a counter-proposal, per the report, which has resulted in a slowdown: a higher fixed part and more bonuses, which would bring the striker’s gross figure up to €15m (€7.5m net).

Of course, this is too much for Milan. The fans were expecting an announcement at any moment, but instead, there will be some more reflections before an official statement can be released.
